Broken People Heal Broken People

Broken people heal broken people.

A broken soul feels like they have failed in some way. It is often unexpected and an exceptional part of one's life to have their passions fade and watch failure smash into one's dreams. New Age Spirituality tells us that setbacks are an opportunity to grow, "a new door opening" kind of thing. Yet, those experiencing the heartache know another's optimism makes the pain no less devastating. So too do the people that provide a way out.

Let's be honest some failures can be soul-crushing. It is only natural for someone going through the process to want to withdraw, to run away. This is why it takes another Broken person who intimately knows what pain feels like, to talk to the wounded. To help them heal. They also know that wounded people are very sensitive, and they are also very truthful and humble. Their pain has made them genuine and because they have nothing to lose, they have everything to gain.

Those who help Broken people are often called Healers. They know failure exists at the end of a relentless and unavoidable series of events because they have been there. It seems to occur when we are past the point of a miracle happening. Thus, wounded people struggle with not wanting to burden others or the risk of being judged. However, Healers know that within those feelings of inadequacy, insecurity is a voice that says, "Now what? What gets me from this place and back into my life?" It is that voice that Healers seek and talk with.

How do healers help? By knowing how to listen to their inner voice. The one that speaks only truth because the truth has liberated them from fantasy. Then, by learning to see themselves honestly, they have developed the ability to recreate themselves. To be sure, this process does not happen overnight, and it takes small steps to let go of things held on too tightly. It starts by letting go of any attachments to past expectations and freeing themselves of letting themselves or somebody else down.

Healers, over time, become wise. The truth will do that to people because it reminds us of what is real. Broken people learn from their failures by living in very realistic ways. There is one caveat to the Healer, though. Having been Broken, they will go to great lengths to help wounded people, and this action may be putting them back into a risk situation of over-extending themselves again.

Once wounded people begin moving forward, they can have unrealistic expectations, which many initially do. Their old patterns are still too familiar, and to break them, they may tend to cling to their Healers in hopes of salvation. In hopes of being of service for another, Healers learn they are not the salvation and know where it is. They also must remember not to take on others' pains. Broken people who become healers have developed an inner strength, yet they have limits as humans. It may help to remember that overextending oneself caused their initial wound. So they must upgrade their practices regularly to avoid falling into a newer version of a familiar loop.

In support of others, Healers can become lax in their self-maintenance and the time they usually devote to their spiritual practice becomes replaced by something else. When Healers feel their energy waning, it is an excellent time to stop and review their own spiritual practices. This will become evident by their inability to focus, and their spiritual practices take longer.

What are the tell-tale signs? By noticing when they are processing someone else's issues or devoting more time than they have to be of assistance. Perhaps, by taking on too many people to assist. Noticing long spaces between spiritual practices, thus missing out on the inner wisdom from inner guidance. By being forgetful about nourishing themselves spiritually and physically. It occurs when the Healer puts others before themselves. The energy is to come from Spirit, not the Healer.

Time invested in Spiritual practices helps the Healer remain in the realm of Miracles. Broken people are exposed and if a Healer is unavailable for whatever reason, and continues with the healing, those wounded people may feel like the Healer isn't interested. There they will feel devalued again. It is better if the Healer is in the boat throwing a life rope than in the water struggling.

It helps to remember that the Healer's role is to assist other people going through life-altering changes. They are capable of doing this because they know the Miracle exists at the end of a relentless and unavoidable series of events. If a Broken person hasn't experienced it yet, it means it's on the way. Healers know this because they choose to live in the realm of miracles. It is in that frequency that Broken people find their salvation.

Being a Healer comes with great responsibility and is a sacred trust. Through the gift of loving support, many years of self-review and having received guidance from another Healer, a Broken transforms into a healed Healer. Then with this newfound purpose, some of the Healed choose to uplift and support others. This is how Broken people find the open door. The one New Age Spirituality tells us is available.
